Because we want to communicate with you and because we do online fund-raising, we need to collect personal information from you, we have chosen WordPress, Constant Contact, Sumac Software, and Mercury Payment Systems to assist in our communication and fund-raising efforts because we believe they are responsible vendors and are committed to our users’ security and privacy concerns.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to our newsletter, fill out a form, make a pledge or donation.
When you give us your personal information on our site you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card or bank account information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. What do we use your information for?

To send periodic emails. The email address you provide may be used to send you information about upcoming events, as well as information pertaining to your pledge or donation.
To administer a Sacramento Dharma Center survey or other site feature.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website and online fundraising are directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
